Our Mission

Who We Are

The Garland Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. was established in 1980 by Ruby Armstrong and Willie Joyce Blair. We are a dynamic group of Professional African-American Women who pride ourselves on our dedication to the community and support for our fellow professional African-American women.

We are servant leaders. Our organization has a phenomenal youth component. The adult group mentors young adults (ages 12-18) and teaches them how to become community leaders. They are given real life opportunities in which to implement what they are taught while being respected by their peers at the same time. Our young adults are the embodiment of the future professional business women and men.

Our Mission

Ombudsmen

The Ombudsmen of the Garland Club of National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. (NANBPWC, Inc.) is a men’s auxiliary group comprised of husbands, relatives, or friends of adult club members. While the primary focus of NANBPWC, Inc. is to support and uplift professional women in business and community service, the Ombudsmen play an important supportive role in the organization’s mission.

Leadership Team

Led by our esteemed President, Dr. Bennye Bryant, and a dedicated team of professionals, the Garland Club is committed to empowering our members and community. Our leadership team brings a wealth of experience and passion to our mission, ensuring that we continue to make a positive impact.
